Judge Judy knows justice
Judge Judy also knows
How to make me feel better
About my life situation
Who's with me there?
Oh come on.
You know you can't resist
Watching the slumlords
Swindle the morons
Out of their hard-earned dope cash
And live to tell about it
On national TV.
But there is more to justice, I fear,
Than morons
Making fools of themselves
In front of ten million viewers.
A selection of quality (and not-so- quality) works from quality (and not-so-quality) people. You decide which is which. An experiment of sorts in my mind and others, this is what you the faithful readers and writers make it. Have fun with it! Write poetry without judgment.

ben laughs in his sleep*
and his lips stretch
over gums and nascent teeth
what does he see?
by day his black eyes probe
and scrutinize
his brow furrows
he is will and force
and a personality that cannot be contained
but when he sleeps he laughs
and gurgles into his mother's shoulder
what movies play inside his eyelids
what pictures provoke him to glee?
or does he laugh because he knows it all
and he's not going to tell us?
---
*Poet's note: He also laughs when he farts. He is, after all, related to me.
